We stand apart from ‘traditional’ classrooms because our teaching methods don’t just focus on imparting information about what is already ‘known’. Instead, we provide opportunities for each child to draw their own conclusions through high-quality enquiry-based learning.
We have an in-depth understanding of the importance the early years in a child’s development plays. This motivates us to provide our children with lessons that they can take with them beyond the classroom and throughout their lives. Future Flyer’s lays down a foundation for a fulfilled and successful life by giving children the necessary building blocks.
The mental, physical and emotional wellbeing of our children are extremely important to us. We also care deeply about their creative development. We encourage out-of-the-box thinking and creativity through play, fun and visualising exercises.
The space we have created is safe and inclusive. Individuals can explore the world through their own perspective. The curriculum we use is based on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS); its enriching content gives each child the chance to learn a range of subjects, such as language, literacy and early number skills! Our information technology lessons will ensure each child is tech-savvy and prepared for the modern-world. We also understand the importance and relevance of teaching children about different cultures; our religious education lessons accomplish this!
We believe in creating, choosing, and innovating. We teach children to think for themselves, while at the same time, supporting them and helping them to form and build upon positive experiences and relationships.

Enquiry-based learning lies at the heart of everything Future Flyers stands for. This educational style strikes an ideal balance between play and a form of active learning that mixes fun with the freedom to explore questions, problems and scenarios. Unlike ‘traditional education’, enquiry-based learning isn’t about presenting facts, it’s about encouraging young people to draw their own conclusions through investigations and observations.

Here at Future Flyers, we don’t rely on telling children about the ‘whats’ of the world. Instead, we ask them what they want to get out of the experience and give them the room to fill in the gaps for themselves. We truly believe that these questions are key to providing a high-standard of care within our nursery because it provides children with the opportunity to express themselves at a formative stage in their lives. Whilst at the same time they gain thinking skills that will help prepare them for the working world and will ensure, when the time finally comes, that they are ready to spread their wings, become contributing citizens and fly to great heights.
